ext2explore

There is nothing like a niche bit of software that does it’s job well.

ext2explore is at version 2.2.71 now & is nothing new, but it’s already proved itself invaluable in a Windows/Linux dual boot environment.  It enables Windows read access & copy function, all from within ext4/3/2 partitions.  (You can copy files from Linux to Windows, but not the other way round.)  You will also be denied write access though this is most likely to avoid trashing your partitions.

You will want to adjust file properties to Run as Admin.
